Why I went into the Insurance Business.
Well it’s been a little while since I last up dated my blog. I apologize, but its been crazy busy for me over the holidays and starting up my new business and all. But I am back now and starting to get everything under control.
First off, for all of you not using the Internet to help increase whatever business your doing you are missing out. It’s like the phone book only better. For more information on how to use an affordable website package that is easy to build and cost you a fraction of what those other service are charging be sure to check out Sitesell
A low cost alternative to help increase awareness to an existing website or just get your presence on the web.
Second after playing around with lots of different work at home business I have finally found one that gives me the complete freedom I want and gives me a paycheck every week while building a true business that keeps on paying residuals month after month.
Back in December I was bring in lots of traffic to this website on a constant basis but was losing sales and not generating the type of income I wanted. So I started to look for another avenue to help generate extra income without going to work for another corporation. That’s when I decided to go into the insurance business. I interview with about a half dozen different companies and decided to join one of them.
Now before I tell you which one I chose, here were my criteria for deciding.
First I did not want any quota systems. I was not going to start building my business and loose it because I didn’t hit a number.
Second, I wanted to be my own boss and not have a set schedule when I had to be in the office by or when I could take time off.
Third, I didn’t want to have to spend money on materials or advertising for brand recognition.
Fourth I wanted to be helping the masses and not chasing the few individuals that all ready had lots of other insurance people chasing them.
Last but not least I wanted to be able to truly help people that normally get over looked by everyone else just because they don’t make the kind of income that would afford them the opportunity to be able to set with a professional that could make a difference in their lives.
So I made the investment in my self and went to insurance qualification school to get the knowledge I need in order to pass the state insurance exam. After an intense forty-hour week of being feed with a fire hose of information on Life, health and accident insurance, I took the exam. Passed on my first try and preceded to my next level of training.
At which point I learned about the numerous polices I had at my disposal and how they worked.
The Company I decided to go with was American Family Assurance Company of Columbus. You better know them as AFLAC.
The reason I chose this company was not because it is a Fortune 500 Company, but rather because of what they do. They provide cash benefits to their policyholders to do what they seem fit with the money.
I also like their model because I call on Small business and provide a service to them at no cost to the business, while providing voluntary benefits to their employees.
As everyone knows Health insurance is a huge topic in today’s society. Not only do we need it, it is becoming more and more expensive every year. Self-Employed individuals have to pay an arm and a leg just to have it while going with high deductibles just to be able to afford it.
That also is the case for small business owners. As Major Medical insurance rates keep rising every year. Businesses are forced to increase the deductible just to be able to afford it. At the same time trying to make it affordable for their employees as well.
That’s why I chose to represent AFLAC. Not only am I an independent business owner. I have the choices on how fast or how big I want to grow my business. Plus I have the help and guidance of my management team to help me build my business the way I see fit.
I have access to a real office and I can work out of my home and set my own hours. Plus I get to be involved in contest and receive recognition for the levels of success I achieve.
Not only am I in Business for my self, I am not in business by my self. With the phenomenal training they provide at no cost to me, the only way you cannot succeed is not to work everyday.
I have also used my knowledge of business development. I am able to generate enough leads to help keep me busy while getting a great ROI.
