There are many ways to advertise a website. Depending on your
Budget depends on how fast your site gets out there for people to see.
Advertising is a big part to any business. It’s not just for traditional brick
n mortar stores. Once you have a website and a domain name. You need to attract
visitors. Then hopefully turn those visitors into customers.
WARNING! You WANT Target Marketing. Not Just visitors. It does
you no good to have 1000 people check out your site and no one buys anything.
I say this because you can buy traffic. Yes you pay money to
have a set number of guaranteed clicks on your site. A Click is someone clicking
a link to bring up whatever page you want. For example. You pay $100 to get 1000
clicks to your site. So your web tracker at the end of the months shows 1010
clicks. you paid $100 you sold or generated no income. That's because that
company just paid a bunch of people known as "Surfers" to click
on your site. the Company in returns pays those surfers a certain amount of
money or "impressions" for their own adds.
Now If you have an extremely catchy site you may convert a few
people to sign up under you or buy your product. One example was I was suffering
18 sites at once with a special Web browser just to earn clicks or impression
for one of my other adds. I would literally surf about 250 websites in about an
hour. Do you think I really read any of those websites. Maybe 2 that I haven't
seen before that caught my eye.
So how do you get real targeted traffic to your site?
one
way is Pay Per Click or PPC for short. Google ad words is probably the best way
to do this. You can pay a set amount per click. For example. Lets say you are
selling Jimmy buffet tickets. ( I say this because I just got a pair) you have a
website. You need to generate traffic to that site. More importantly you need to
generate traffic to those tickets. So here is how I would advertise those
tickets.
1. I develop a website that explained in detailed about
the:
A. location, time, and date of the
concert
B. I would take a picture of the
tickets front and back to show they are authentic.
2. I would List the tickets on EBay.
3. I
would link a description page ( my website) to the Auction
4. I would then Place free adds in Backpage.com and Craigslist.org with links to
my
auction site.
5. I would then go to Google
and put up an AD Words Ad ( PPC) with the link
directing to my E-bay listing website again.
6. I would then run PPC Ads on Yahoo as well.
7. The type of Auction I would use is a Absolute Auction. No Reserve.
Studies show and my own personal experiences prove that this auction brings in
the highest bidders
I know the temptation to put a reserve up is great especially on tickets that
cost $140 a piece
But good seats and a sold out show can help the price value. plus the fact you
are advertising in all the right spots you are sure to get enough traffic to your auction.
This
is an excellent example how an hour to two worth of work can make a huge difference
in the success of your auction or sale of an item.
"That's
Great and all Kevin, but what if I cant get tickets for a sold out event and by
all means get the kind of tickets people want?"

tickets here!

the page to your AFFILIATE link were tickets are being sold! if they
purchase you get a commission! You can sell anything without having to buy
it.!
Depending on what your selling or want to sell. There
are many different ways to advertise and make money. You could be like the
Mafia and skim off the top of everything. I know there are some key words out
there that are highly competitive and can bring in as much as $25 a click! That's
right a Click! they don't have to buy anything all they have to do is click on
a link on your site! You get $25 bucks. Un real I say. I wish I knew more
about those markets.
Also
Print Advertising is good to for Branding. By that I mean Buy a block of ad
space in your local paper. in the same spot each week for consecutive weeks. if
possible get 3 to 6 month blocks. that way people see your ad and your website
every week or day and in the same place. People need repetition. Plus they can remember
things and use anchors to trigger memories. Like that ad in the sports page
every week.
Free Advertising though is always the
best route if you can find a place were you can draw traffic. They are not all
created equal. Some sites in your town or local paper offer free classified
ads under certain dollar amount. So do some looking around and be creative.
Remember think like your customers. What do they want and how will they find
what your selling? what terms will they search for? Figure that out and you
got your self some traffic.
